Maxx Crosby Trades Helmet for Chef’s Hat, Opens New Restaurant

Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby is making a bold move off the field—into the kitchen. The Pro Bowler, known for his relentless pursuit of quarterbacks, is now chasing a new dream as a restaurateur. Crosby has officially opened “Mad Maxx’s Smokehouse”, a high-end barbecue joint in the heart of Las Vegas.

After years of dominating the gridiron, Crosby decided to pursue his passion for food. “I’ve always loved cooking and hosting, especially barbecue,” Crosby said at the grand opening. “Football will always be my number one, but this is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.”

The restaurant, located just off the Las Vegas Strip, features a menu inspired by Crosby’s Texas roots and love for smoked meats. Signature dishes include “Sack Attack Brisket,” “QB Crunch Ribs,” and “The Edge Rusher Burger,” all slow-cooked to perfection. The restaurant also offers a selection of gourmet sides and handcrafted sauces designed by Crosby himself.

Several of Crosby’s Raiders teammates attended the grand opening, including quarterback Aidan O’Connell and defensive leader Divine Deablo. “Maxx puts 100% into everything he does, whether it’s football or food,” said Deablo. “This place is amazing, and I’ll be a regular for sure.”

Crosby assured fans that his football career remains his top priority, but he’s excited to build something special beyond the game. “I’m still coming after quarterbacks every Sunday,” he said with a grin. “But now, I’ve got something for the fans to enjoy after the game.”

With his signature intensity and dedication, Crosby looks poised for success—both on the field and in the kitchen. Mad Maxx’s Smokehouse is now open, and if Crosby’s play is any indication, it’s bound to be a hit.
