Reports confirming that Otega Oweh, a guard for the Kentucky Wildcats, has won the Oscar Robertson Trophy midseason award. However, Oweh, alongside teammate Lamont Butler, was recently named to the Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List, highlighting his outstanding performance this season.

Scoring Leader: Oweh leads Kentucky with an average of 15.6 points per game.
Consistent Performance: He has scored in double figures in all 21 games this season, making him one of 13 Division I players to achieve this feat.
Defensive Contributions: Oweh leads the team with 33 steals, showcasing his impact on both ends of the court.
The Oscar Robertson Trophy is awarded annually by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) to the nation’s top men’s college basketball player. The midseason watch list includes 50 players, with Kentucky being one of seven schools featuring two athletes on the list.
While Oweh has not secured the trophy at this time, his inclusion on the watch list underscores his significant contributions to Kentucky’s success this season.
