In a major announcement that’s sending shockwaves through the NBA world, ESPN has confirmed that the Golden State Warriors have officially approved a $755 million renovation project for the Chase Center, set to begin in early 2025.

The project, one of the most expensive arena upgrades in NBA history, aims to transform the Chase Center into a next-generation sports and entertainment hub, ensuring the Warriors remain at the forefront of innovation both on and off the court.

Key Features of the Renovation:

Expanded seating capacity to accommodate up to 21,000 fans

360-degree LED video boards and immersive fan experiences

Luxury suites and hospitality enhancements, including courtside lounges

Sustainability upgrades, including solar panel installations and zero-waste initiatives

New practice facilities integrated into the arena complex

Upgraded public transit access and fan engagement zones

Warriors President Brandon Schneider said in a statement:

“This isn’t just about improving a building. It’s about redefining the fan experience in the heart of the Bay Area. We’re excited to build a venue that reflects the future of basketball.”

Construction is expected to roll out in multiple phases, allowing the team to continue playing at home without significant disruption. Full completion is anticipated by the start of the 2027 season.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver also weighed in, calling the move “a landmark investment in the future of the sport and its fans.”

The Warriors, who have led the league in innovation, merchandise sales, and fan engagement, are doubling down on their long-term commitment to the Bay Area — signaling that this isn’t just about basketball, but about legacy.
