ESPN has confirmed that the Baltimore Ravens are set to move forward with a major stadium renovation project, with a total investment of $77.6 million approved for upgrades to M&T Bank Stadium. The renovations, which are scheduled to begin in early 2025, aim to modernize the venue and enhance the fan experience ahead of the upcoming NFL season.

The Maryland Stadium Authority and the Ravens organization jointly approved the funding package last week, marking a significant milestone in the team’s long-term commitment to Baltimore. The stadium, which opened in 1998, will undergo substantial improvements, including enhanced seating areas, updated concession stands, upgraded video boards, improved accessibility, and advanced technology integrations.

Ravens President Sashi Brown praised the project, stating, “This renovation reflects our commitment to providing the best possible experience for Ravens fans, players, and staff. M&T Bank Stadium is a central part of Baltimore’s sports identity, and these enhancements will ensure it remains a top-tier NFL venue.”

The $77.6 million initiative is part of a broader strategic plan developed by the Ravens in collaboration with city and state officials. While some renovations will take place during the offseason, larger-scale improvements will be phased in over the next two years to minimize disruptions during game days.

Among the highlighted features in the upcoming renovation:

  • State-of-the-art LED video boards for clearer in-game visuals
  • Expanded club and suite spaces for premium ticket holders
  • Improved Wi-Fi and mobile connectivity throughout the stadium
  • Eco-friendly upgrades, including energy-efficient lighting and water-saving fixtures
  • Revamped fan zones and interactive displays to increase engagement

Fans and local business leaders have widely supported the project, citing the positive economic impact the Ravens bring to downtown Baltimore. The renovation is also expected to boost the city’s chances of hosting larger events, including concerts, college football games, and even potential playoff matchups.

Construction will officially begin in March 2025, shortly after the conclusion of the 2024–2025 NFL season. The Ravens have assured fans that home games will continue as scheduled during the renovation period.

With the approval now in place, the Ravens are not just investing in bricks and mortar—they’re investing in the future of Baltimore football.
