The Vancouver Canucks have locked down one of their most consistent offensive weapons, re-signing right winger Brock Boeser to a seven-year, $50.75 million contract extension, the team announced today.

Boeser, 28, has been a cornerstone of the Canucks’ offense and is coming off a career-best season, tallying 40 goals and 35 assists for 75 points in 82 games. Known for his lethal shot and improved two-way play, Boeser’s new deal carries an average annual value (AAV) of $7.25 million.

“We’re thrilled to keep Brock in Vancouver long term,” said Canucks GM Patrik Allvin. “He’s a vital part of our core, and this deal reflects both his commitment to our team and our belief in his continued growth as a leader on and off the ice.”

Originally drafted 23rd overall in 2015, Boeser has spent his entire NHL career with Vancouver, amassing 192 goals and 206 assists for 398 points in 524 games. The new contract ensures that he remains a key figure in the team’s push toward championship contention.

Boeser, speaking to media this morning, expressed gratitude and excitement: “Vancouver is home. I love this city, my teammates, and the direction we’re heading. I’m honored to be part of this group for years to come.”

The Canucks now shift focus to free agency and other roster decisions as they look to build on a strong 2024–25 campaign.
