In a stunning and emotional announcement, the New York Yankees have officially welcomed back one of their most iconic figures. Yankees President Randy Levine and the Steinbrenner family have confirmed that Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson will rejoin the organization in 2025, taking on the prestigious role of President of Baseball Operations.

The legendary right fielder, affectionately known as “Mr. October,” returns to the Bronx decades after cementing his legacy with clutch postseason heroics and a larger-than-life presence on and off the field.

“This is more than just a return — it’s a reunion,” said Randy Levine. “Reggie represents everything the Yankees stand for: excellence, passion, and championship DNA.”

Jackson, who played for the Yankees from 1977 to 1981, helped lead the team to two World Series titles and was named World Series MVP in 1977. His return signals a bold new era for the franchise, as they look to reclaim dominance in the American League under the guidance of a true legend.
