BREAKING : Pascal Siakam “Suspended Indefinitely” After Refusing to Return Refs’ Whistle

In a shocking turn of events sure to shake up the Eastern Conference, Indiana Pacers All-Star Pascal Siakam has been suspended indefinitely after allegedly violating a rarely enforced clause in the NBA Rulebook: “Thou shalt not pocket the referee’s whistle.”

According to sources close to the situation, Siakam reportedly walked off the court with crew chief Derrick Collins’ whistle still around his neck, refusing to return it unless the NBA overturned a late-game foul call.

“He said, ‘No whistle, no justice,’ and just kept walking,” said an anonymous Pacers ball boy. “It was kind of inspiring.”

League officials say Siakam also refused to participate in a mandatory Whistle Return Protocol Zoom Call, triggering the indefinite suspension under Section 9, Article 5 of the NBA’s Arcane Rule Enforcement Manual.

Commissioner Adam Silver declined to comment directly but was seen googling “how to recover from whistle shortage.”

The Pacers, meanwhile, have appealed the decision and released a statement saying Siakam is “innocent of all charges except being too passionate about fair officiating.”
