BREAKING NEWS: Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb signs record-breaking four-year, $136 million extension
August 26, 2024 – CeeDee Lamb, the standout wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys and top offensive weapon, has officially secured a four-year contract extension worth $136 million, with $100 million guaranteed and a $38 million signing bonus, marking the largest signing bonus ever awarded to a wide receiver in NFL history. This positions Lamb as the second-highest-paid non-quarterback in league history, behind only Justin Jefferson.
In March 2025, Lamb voluntarily restructured his deal, converting much of his 2025 salary into bonus, reducing his cap hit for the year from approximately $35 million to about $14.9 million, helping the Cowboys gain nearly $20 million in cap flexibility to pursue other roster moves during free agency.
Lamb’s decision to accommodate the restructure emphasized team-first leadership, saying, “I want to win. It’s gonna take more than just myself.”
Thanks to his elite performance—including an NFL-leading 1,749 receiving yards in 2023, Pro Bowl honors, and franchise records—the Cowboys ensured Lamb remains a central figure in their plans through at least the 2028 season.
