In a shocking turn of events, Arkansas Razorback standout wide receiver Andrew Armstrong has dropped a bombshell that has left the college football world reeling and head coach Sam Pittman visibly stunned.
During a press conference Monday afternoon, Armstrong announced that he will declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, forgoing his final year of college eligibility. The decision comes after a standout season where Armstrong led the Razorbacks in receptions and receiving yards, becoming a fan favorite and a key part of the team’s offense.
“I’ve prayed on this, talked with my family and coaches… and I believe this is the right time,” Armstrong stated. “Arkansas will always be home, but I’m ready for the next chapter.”
Coach Pittman, who had built a strong bond with Armstrong, was reportedly caught off guard by the announcement. “I’m proud of him, no doubt,” Pittman said after a long pause. “But yeah… I wasn’t expecting that today.”
Armstrong’s departure marks a major shift for the Razorbacks heading into the next season, and fans across the SEC are now left wondering what’s next for the program.
