In a stunning turn of events, five-star wide receiver AJ Logan has committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks, spurning offers from powerhouse programs such as Alabama, Tennessee, Clemson, and LSU. Logan, one of the most sought-after recruits in the 2025 class, made his decision public during a live announcement on Saturday.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound playmaker out of Atlanta, Georgia, had been a top target for several SEC and ACC schools. Many analysts predicted he would land at Alabama or Clemson, but South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer and his staff pulled off a recruiting coup to secure Logan’s pledge.
“I felt at home in Columbia,” Logan said. “The coaching staff, the atmosphere, and the direction of the program really stood out to me. I believe in what Coach Beamer is building, and I want to be a part of something special.”
Logan is known for his elite speed, precise route running, and strong hands, making him a nightmare for opposing defenses. He was a standout at multiple national camps and finished his senior season with over 1,500 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns.
His commitment gives the Gamecocks a major boost in their 2025 recruiting class, which is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory. Logan’s decision is expected to have a ripple effect, potentially drawing more elite recruits to South Carolina.
“This is a game-changer for us,” Beamer said. “AJ is a special talent, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the Gamecock family.”
With Logan now on board, South Carolina fans have plenty to be excited about as the program continues its rise in the SEC.
