Kansas City, Missouri According to reports, Andy Reid, the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, has been in communication with Romeo Crennel, the former head coach of the Chiefs, about an undisclosed issue. According to those familiar with the matter, the two seasoned coaches may have discussed strategic ideas, mentoring, or even Crennel’s possible advising position within the company.
Crennel has a lengthy NFL career that includes defensive coaching positions with several clubs. He was the Chiefs’ coach in 2011 and 2012. Reid may be especially interested in his defensive scheme experience as the Chiefs continue to assemble their formidable squad.
Although the details of the conversation are still unknown, fans and pundits have begun to speculate that Crennel might be thinking about making a comeback in some manner or just giving his old squad advise.
