Nashville, TN – July 26, 2025* — In a major announcement that will excite fans across the state, the Tennessee Titans have officially confirmed that their highly anticipated new home — a state-of-the-art, 60,000-seat stadium — remains on schedule to open ahead of the 2027 NFL season.

The news was shared early Saturday morning by Titans President and CEO Burke Nihill, who addressed media and supporters at a press briefing held near the construction site along the East Bank of the Cumberland River in downtown Nashville. The \$2.1 billion project, which broke ground in early 2024, represents one of the most ambitious sports infrastructure undertakings in Tennessee history.

“We are thrilled to share that construction is progressing right on track,” Nihill said. “Our team, along with our partners in the city and the state, is working diligently to deliver a world-class stadium that our fans, players, and the broader Nashville community can be proud of.”

A Vision for the Future of Titans Football

The new Nissan Stadium is designed to not only be the future home of the Tennessee Titans but also a multipurpose venue capable of hosting major national events, including Super Bowls, College Football Playoff games, concerts, and more. With 60,000 fixed seats, expandable for larger events, the stadium will feature a translucent roof, 360-degree concourses, cutting-edge digital displays, and modern amenities aimed at enhancing the fan experience.

The stadium is also being developed with sustainability in mind. It will include green building practices, energy-efficient systems, and eco-conscious design elements as part of the Titans’ commitment to environmental stewardship.

A Catalyst for Economic Growth

City officials say the stadium will anchor a broader redevelopment of Nashville’s East Bank — a revitalization project that includes residential, retail, and green space expansions expected to generate billions in economic activity.

“This is more than just a football stadium,” said Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell. “It’s a transformative development that will create jobs, bring tourism, and shape the future of our city.”

What It Means for Titans Fans

The Titans are expected to continue playing in the current Nissan Stadium through the 2026 season. Season ticket holders will be given priority access to seating in the new facility, with more detailed information expected to roll out in 2026. The team also plans to unveil new branding, digital experiences, and enhanced gameday entertainment as part of the stadium launch.

For fans eagerly awaiting the debut, the 2027 season can’t come soon enough.

“We’re building a home that reflects the heart and passion of our fan base,” said Titans head coach Brian Callahan. “It’s going to be something special.”
