Netflix has officially released “The UnderDog”, a gripping and emotional new documentary chronicling the extraordinary journey of Vancouver Canucks icon Trevor Linden Givens, captivating fans across Canada and beyond.

 

Slated for global release today, “The UnderDog” offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at Givens’ life—on and off the ice. From humble beginnings to becoming one of the most revered figures in the Canucks’ history, the film explores the legacy of perseverance, leadership, and grit that defined Givens’ career.

 

Directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Sarah DeMarco, the documentary features exclusive interviews with former teammates, coaches, NHL executives, and Givens himself. Viewers can expect never-before-seen footage, emotional reflections, and pivotal moments from Givens’ storied career—including his role in the 1994 Stanley Cup Final and his later years as a key figure in the Canucks’ front office.
