Fans, however, are having none of it.
“He’s not banned — he’s just built different,” tweeted one Thunder supporter, while another fan started the trending hashtag #FreeSGA.
Oklahoma City Thunder officials have released a brief statement in response:
> “We respect the league’s decision to ensure fairness, but we’d also like to point out that Shai has been violating ankles — not rules.”
Rumors are swirling that SGA’s greatness has been affecting global basketball balance, with some international players reportedly “retiring mid-game” after guarding him.
