In a major milestone for the franchise and fans alike, the Arizona Diamondbacks have officially broken ground on a new permanent grandstand and VIP suite complex that will seat over 14,804 spectators. This ambitious construction marks a historic moment in the team’s infrastructure development and long-term vision for enhancing the fan experience.
Set to rise within the Salt River Fields complex, the new grandstand will feature modern amenities, luxury suites, shaded seating areas, and improved accessibility, creating a more immersive and comfortable environment for fans of all ages. The project also includes state-of-the-art broadcasting booths, upgraded concession areas, and eco-friendly design features in alignment with the team’s sustainability goals.
Team President and CEO Derrick Hall stated during the groundbreaking ceremony:
“This is more than just a structure—it’s a symbol of our commitment to our fans, our players, and the community. We are building a space that matches the energy and passion of Diamondbacks baseball.”
The facility is expected to be completed by Spring 2027, in time for that year’s Cactus League season, and will serve as both a spring training hub and an event venue year-round.
