In an unprecedented crossover between entertainment and sports, Netflix and the Indiana Pacers have jointly announced a massive $1.3 billion renovation of Bill Snyder Family Stadium, setting a bold new precedent for the future of professional basketball infrastructure.
While traditionally a football venue located in Manhattan, Kansas, the iconic Bill Snyder Family Stadium is now being reimagined as a state-of-the-art hybrid sports and entertainment complex—marking the first time a major NBA franchise partners with a media giant to transform a stadium on this scale.
Sources confirm that Netflix will integrate next-gen streaming technology, augmented reality experiences, and live documentary production into the venue. The Pacers will host a limited number of high-profile games and events at the renovated site starting in 2027, including international showcases and Netflix-exclusive content.
Key Features of the Renovation:
360-degree immersive fan experiences powered by Netflix tech
Convertible multi-sport playing surface (NBA & NCAA regulation)
Live filming zones for real-time documentary and reality content
Sustainable architecture, powered by solar and wind energy
A dedicated “Basketball History & Cinema” interactive exhibit
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver hailed the move as “visionary,” calling it “a blend of sport, storytelling, and technology that reflects where the game is going.”
Construction is slated to begin in early 2026, with full completion expected by the 2027–28 NBA season.
“This is not just a stadium upgrade. It’s a redefinition of how fans engage with basketball and entertainment,” said Pacers President Kevin Pritchard during the press briefing.
