BREAKING NEWS: Colorado Avalanche Owner E. Stanley Kroenke Signs $78 Million Contract to Renovate Ball Arena
In a major move aimed at elevating the fan experience and modernizing sports infrastructure, Colorado Avalanche owner E. Stanley Kroenke has officially signed a $78 million contract to renovate Ball Arena, the home of the Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Mammoth.
The multi-million dollar renovation project is set to include state-of-the-art upgrades to seating, enhanced video and sound systems, expanded concessions, luxury suites, and environmentally sustainable infrastructure improvements. This marks one of the largest private investments in the arena since its opening in 1999.
“This investment reflects our commitment to providing world-class experiences for our fans, players, and the entire Denver community,” said Kroenke in a press statement. “As we look to the future, Ball Arena will continue to serve as a premier venue for sports and entertainment in the Rocky Mountain region.”
Renovation work is expected to begin in early 2026 during the offseason, with phased construction that will allow events and games to continue without major disruption. Sources close to the project indicate that the upgrades will also include advanced digital ticketing systems, improved accessibility features, and a complete redesign of the team locker rooms and training facilities.
Local officials have expressed support for the project, citing the economic impact of the arena and its role in drawing tourism, business, and entertainment to the city.
