Denver, CO – A tragic incident unfolded in Denver last night, resulting in the deaths of two innocent bystanders.

At approximately 10:45 pm, Denver Police Department officers initiated a pursuit after spotting a stolen vehicle near downtown.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Juan Hernandez, allegedly fled at high speeds, weaving through residential neighborhoods.

Witnesses described the chaotic scene: “The police cars were flying by, sirens blaring. Then, I heard the crash.”

The pursuit ended catastrophically when Hernandez’s vehicle collided with a civilian car at the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Colorado Boulevard.

Two passengers in the civilian vehicle, 35-year-old Emily Wilson and 40-year-old David Lee, were pronounced dead at the scene.
