Greg Sankey, Commissioner of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), has announced a revolutionary change to the weekly schedule for all SEC teams.

Starting immediately, all teams will now play their games on Wednesday evenings, in Stefad of the traditional Saturday afternoons.

 

Sankey cited “research” showing that Wednesday nights are more conducive to excitement and drama, saying, “We want to bring a little bit of that March Madness magic to the regular season.”

 

Additionally, Sankey revealed that the SEC Championship Game will now be played on a Tuesday night, with the winner advancing to the College Football Playoff.

 

When asked about the impact on tailgating traditions, Sankey winked and said, “We’re working on a new concept called ‘Tailgating Tuesdays’ – it’s going to be huge, just huge.”
