BREAKING NEWS:
SAM LaPORTA MAKES HISTORY, SIGNS RECORD-BREAKING DEAL WITH NFL TEAM.
In a stunning move, tight end phenom Sam LaPorta has signed a record-breaking deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, making him the highest-paid rookie in NFL history.
The 6-year, $150 million contract includes a $50 million signing bonus and an average annual salary of $25 million.
LaPorta, the 10th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has yet to play a single snap in the league, but his impressive college stats and dominant training camp performance convinced the Chiefs to make a bold move.
“We believe Sam is a game-changer,” said Chiefs GM, Brett Veach. “This deal reflects our commitment to building a championship team.”
LaPorta’s historic contract sets a new benchmark for rookie deals, eclipsing the previous record held by QB Brock Purdy.
