BREAKING: “Phoenix Suns Acquire Point Guard with Special Franchise Ties”

The Phoenix Suns have the talent to compete for the title again in the 2024-25 NBA season.

While they were embarrassingly swept in the first round of this year’s NBA Playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves, they still have Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal. That’s plenty to make fans expect a lot from Phoenix, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have concerns to fix this summer.

Point guard linked to the Phoenix Suns ahead of 2024 NBA Draft

One thing on the Suns’ checklist is to acquire a point guard, unless they want to continue relying on Booker for PG duties. Tyler Kolek, a Marquette Golden Eagles player, has been connected to the Suns as their No. 22 choice in the 2024 NBA Draft to address their point guard needs.

Rival NBA insiders who spoke with HoopsHype believe Phoenix will use the 22nd overall choice to chase Marquette point player Tyler Kolek.

Kolek led the NCAA in assists this season and might be an ideal fit for the Suns, who are looking to add a traditional point guard this offseason.

It’s also worth noting that Kolek is a Priority Sports client, represented by Mark Bartelstein, whose son, Josh, is the Suns’ CEO.

Kolek was not just one of the top collegiate point guards last season, but also one of the best players. Period.

In 31 games with the Golden Eagles in 2023-24, Kolek, who began his college career with the George Mason Patriots, averaged 15.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.7 assists.
