Unexpectedly, head coach of the Minnesota Wild John Hynes filed for divorce from his wife, citing irreconcilable differences. Many people in the hockey community are stunned by the news because Hynes is well-known for leading a stable family life and being devoted to his wife and kids. 
According to people close to the marriage, months of therapy and introspection preceded the pair’s decision to file for divorce. Hynes and his spouse have decided it is better for them to separate, despite their attempts to make amends.
