The hottest day since 2009. After 15 years, find out which South Florida city broke the record.

It officially became the hottest day since June 22, 2009, on Saturday since it was so hot.
To put this into perspective, Miami typically sees highs of 86° this time of year, but yesterday saw a record 98° in Fort Lauderdale.

With record highs of 94° in Miami and 95° in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday, the warmest day of 2024 has been reached before Saturday.
With some clouds, Saturday was hot and muggy, with a record-breaking high temperature of 98° and feels-like temperatures of 105°. With a high of 94° on Saturday for the second straight day, Miami was once again the warmest place to be since October.
South Florida is predicted to see temperatures rise once more. Staying cool and safe is crucial on Sunday, especially with the Mother’s Day celebrations and the Fort Lauderdale Air Show taking place.
There will be plenty of sun for Mother’s Day with just a 10% chance of rain on Sunday, even if it will be “slightly” colder and less humid with a high of 92° and feels-like temps of 95-100°.
The weather is still warm and humid, but not nearly as bad as it has been in recent days.
