This past season, the Green Bay Packers successfully retooled their roster with new players. There were many unanswered questions about the team’s future and the franchise’s general success moving forward in a year that saw the club move on from four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers.
Green Bay is well-liked throughout the NFL after a season that surpassed all expectations and ended just short of the NFC Championship game. The Packers are blessed with a number of leaders on both sides of the ball who have contributed to the team’s success both on and off the field.

His lightning-fast reflexes when returning kicks ignite a special teams fire in Green Bay that hasn’t been seen in decades. In 2023, Nixon set league records for kickoff returns (30) and kick return yards (782). Nixon has shown promise as a starting slot cornerback in addition to his return game prowess. His most notable defensive play came in the fourth quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs, when he intercepted quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The Packers would be fortunate to have Nixon on their team for many years to come, given his impressive on-field performances and strong locker room presence.
9. Romeo Uncertainties
Romeo Doubs was a man the offense frequently turned to when a play had to be made during pivotal periods in the Packers’ season. With his steady hands and quick route running, he was able to record 59 receptions for 674 yards and eight touchdowns. Doubs offered consistency in the NFL’s youngest receiving group, as wide receivers Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks alternated in and out of the lineup during the season.
Doubs, who wrapped up the season with 234 yards and a touchdown in the postseason, will want to build on his impressive sophomore campaign.
8. Zachary Tom
It is impossible to ignore Zach Tom’s outstanding performance along the offensive line for the Green Bay Packers. Tom played nearly 500 snaps as a rookie in 2022, covering every offensive line position save center, demonstrating why he was a steal in the draft.
Tom demonstrated this season that he is developing into one of the NFL’s top offensive tackles. Edge rushers had little success against Tom when they faced elite players like Micah Parsons and Nick Bosa. Tom continues to contribute to the Packers’ passing and rushing schemes despite his lack of outstanding size or quickness, and in 2023 he only picked up three penalties. It’s reasonable to say that the Packers discovered another undiscovered gem in the form of the team’s future right tackle.
7. Walker Quay
Quay Walker has taken the lead in the center of the Packers’ defense two years after being chosen 22nd overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. Following two seasons in which he led the Packers in total tackles, the former Georgia Bulldog will try to build on his strong tackling stats in 2024.

For the vast portion of Jenkins’ career, the Packers have had top-tier offenses thanks to his dependability at the position.
Though his major concentration has always been left guard, Jenkins’ versatility cannot be overlooked either. Being able to play tackle, guard, and center for extended periods of time at such a high level early in his career speaks volumes about Jenkins’s adaptability and drive on the field.
5. Kenny Clark
Kenny Clark has been a dependable player for the Packers for a long time, and in 2023, that continued. Clark is still a top defensive tackle who poses a constant threat to opposing teams. Clark was selected 27th overall in the 2016 draft, and he has proven year after year that he can put pressure on quarterbacks and stop the run.
As one of the Packers with the longest tenure, Clark leads the defense vocally and makes sure the unit always comes through with a spark when it’s needed. Every game, even if it might not show up on the stat sheet, Clark’s presence is felt. This October, when he turns 29, Clark will be turning 29. He recently finished a career best in both quarterback hits (16) and sacks (7.5). With no intention of slowing down, Clark plans to maintain his domination in 2024 and pursue his goal of winning a Super Bowl.
4. Alexander Jaire
Most people would agree that a lockdown cornerback is the most important player on a football team, excluding an exceptional quarterback. Jaire Alexander is among the best in the game, and the Packers are lucky to have him.
Alexander can always get his hands on the football to make a play and has exceptional ball skills. In addition to his skill with the ball in the air, Alexander is a superb tackler who frequently sets the tone for plays at the line of scrimmage by blowing up runs and occasionally scoring a major hit. Alexander’s performance on the field speaks for itself because to his superior football IQ and athletic attributes.
Alexander’s incapacity to play in 2023 and a personal matter off the field are the only things preventing him from ranking higher on this list. In addition to Jaire’s shoulder injury, which prevented him from playing for six straight games, Alexander had a problem with a coin flip against the Panthers in Week 16. Love and the Packers looked to be clicking in Week 11 at Detroit on Thanksgiving, after getting off to a poor start. Love passed for 268 yards and three touchdowns in a 29–22 victory over the Lions, earning a passer rating of 125.5.
In order to go to the postseason, Love guided the Packers to thrilling victories over the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, and Kansas City Chiefs. Love was performing as good as any quarterback in the NFL from Week 10 to the end of the regular season, throwing for 18 touchdowns and only one interception during that time. The former first-round selection completed the regular season with 4,159 yards of passing for 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Love and the Packers narrowly lost to a familiar opponent in the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round after dominating the Cowboys in the wild-card round. Love unquestionably has all the ability necessary to establish himself as a premier quarterback. Somehow, the Packers managed to pull it off once more.
2. Gerald Rashan
It was best expressed by Matt LaFleur: “I don’t think there’s anyone who wouldn’t go to war with this dude.”
Rashan Gary is, to put it simply, and has been for years, a game wrecker on the brink. Gary can constantly apply pressure to affect the throw to the quarterback by using his strength and speed to overwhelm offensive linemen inside and out. Gary only recorded nine sacks in 2023 after suffering an ACL tear in 2022, but since the end of 2021, when he had his breakthrough season, he has had an incredible pressure rate.
In addition to his excellent play, Gary’s ranking is high since he is this defense’s true leader. The former Michigan Wolverine has changed into a player who infuses the Packers with an unparalleled level of intensity. Gary is a player that opposition teams should be watching, no matter where he lines up. Gary strives to sack the quarterback on every play, being a vital component of Green Bay’s core.
1. Aaron Jones
Upon taking a closer look at the whole Green Bay Packers roster, it may surprise some to see a running back at the top of the list: Aaron Jones is the team’s most valuable player. In Green Bay, loyalty is associated with the very skilled running back, sometimes referred to as “Showtyme.”
Jones’ hamstring injury, which occurred in Week 1, kept him out of the starting lineup for a large portion of the 2023 campaign.
