BREAKING NEWS: Golden State Warriors Player Was Paid $2.6 Million By The OKC Thunder This Season

Usman Garuba played for the Golden State Warriors during the 2023–24 NBA season.
He averaged 1.6 rebounds per game while participating in six games. After being moved multiple times over the offseason, Garuba was acquired by the Oklahoma City Thunder, who waived him. The Thunder paid him close to $2.6 million this season because he still had money left on his deal (h/t Sam Yip of HoopsHype and Spotrac). The initial pick of Garuba in the 2021 NBA Draft was number 23.
He played for the Houston Rockets during his first two seasons of professional basketball. In 105 games during the regular season, he shot 36.3% from three-point range and 46.7% from the field, averaging 2.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

With a 46-36 record at the end of the season, the Warriors were the tenth seed in the Western Conference. They were eliminated from the NBA playoffs for the third time in the previous five seasons after falling to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in round. Regarding the future of their roster, Golden State will have a lot of questions to address this summer.
Steph Curry, the two-time MVP, is one of the top 10 players in the NBA despite the team’s difficulties. Since the 2015 season, the Warriors have advanced five times to the NBA Finals and won four NBA Championships.
