If Ohio State had a genuine commitment to men’s basketball, they would have already recruited Cal and Bronny, who would be actively involved in the program.

Recently, it was reported that John Calipari is in the process of completing an agreement to depart from his position at the prestigious Kentucky basketball program in favor of joining the highly successful Arkansas basketball team.

The announcement came as a surprise to many, as Coach Cal just received a vote of confidence from Kentucky’s athletic director, despite the team’s humiliating defeat in the tournament against Oakland and their association with a 30-year-old private shooting coach named Jack Gohlke.

However, based on information from multiple insiders, it appears that Calipari’s surprising decision may have been planned and prepared for several months. There were reports that the Hall of Fame coach had grown dissatisfied in Lexington, causing him (or his agent, wink wink) to hunt for an escape route. And to CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander, that escape path may have led to Columbus, Ohio if not for… poor timing?
