BREAKING NEWS: “Boston Bruins Honor Linus Ullmark, Charlie Coyle, and David Pastrnak with Annual Season Awards”

Boston — Prior to Tuesday night’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Boston Bruins presented their annual season awards.

Linus Ullmark won the John P. Bucyk Award, which recognizes the Bruins player who most represents off-ice charity achievements.

“Ullmark has taken part in several community events over the past year, including the team’s annual holiday toy shopping, hospital visits and meet and greets,” the team said in a press release. “Following his Halloween visit at Boston Children’s Hospital, he brought pediatric patients to TD Garden to experience a Bruins home game and hosted a meet and greet with them after the game.”
Ullmark also connected with a young fan named Simon, a Special Olympics goaltender from Sweden, to whom he sent a signed jersey.

Charlie Coyle got the Eddie Shore Award for effort and commitment, while David Pastrnak received the Elizabeth Dufresne Trophy for his home game performances. Coyle has stepped up and taken on a larger role this season, scoring 25 goals (a new career best) and providing 33 assists. In 39 games at TD Garden, Pastrnak has 28 goals and 31 assists.
