LIVE UPDATE: Jorge Lorenzo demands to know from Marc Marquez, “What’s missing to win?”

Jorge Martin is riding the new and better Ducati GP24, while six-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez is riding last season’s title-winning machine.

At the Qatar MotoGP, the disparity in top speed between the two Ducatis came as a surprise.

Five major talking points after the Qatar MotoGP

MotoGP is termed “a sleeping giant” that is “primed for growth” in the United States.
Marquez had a definite response to his former opponent, and it had nothing to do with the bike’s potential.

Despite riding the final corner better during the sprint, Marquez conceded he was at blame.

However, this was not due to differences in machinery, but rather to Marquez losing time on acceleration going out of the final bend.

Lorenzo, curious about the cause of the speed gap, asked Marquez after the race: “I was a little surprised at the speed difference compared to Martin’s bike, which I hadn’t seen yesterday.

“But today, it was clear that you were losing two or three tenths of the engine. I do not know what caused it.

“Then there’s the simple question: what’s left to win? Did the circuit effect you as well? Here in Qatar, where you have not won many times.”
