Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora has announced his departure from the team. Cora, who led the Red Sox to a World Series victory in 2018, cited personal reasons for his decision. 
Additionally, he has opted to cancel his contract, which was valued at over $19.8 million. Cora expressed gratitude to the organization, fans, and players, stating that it was a difficult decision but one he felt was necessary at this time. The Red Sox will begin their search for a new manager immediately.
