Marc Marquez and his brother Alex will ride for the same team in the 2024 MotoGP season, after Marc departed Honda to join Gresini Ducati. Talk has already turned to how the dynamic might play out on the track, with Marc stating that he would not hesitate to pass his brother if a race win was on the line. The season begins with the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar on March 10.

The MotoGP season begins on March 10 in Qatar, broadcast live on TNT Sports and Discovery+, and the Marquez siblings will ride the same Gresini Ducati after Marc left Honda at the end of 2023.
They are brothers and teammates, but when it comes to vying for place on the track, they will not give up.
“I took a gamble to finish seventh last year,” Marc Marquez stated when asked if he would risk crashing alongside his brother for a race victory.
Speaking on the TV show El Hormiguero, he said, “It’s instinctive, but in any case, I prefer to have to ask for forgiveness rather than permission, even if it’s my brother.”
When asked about riding on the same team as his brother, Marc stated, “You always try to help a team-mate, even if there is rivalry because a rider’s first rival is his teammate.”They both aspire to be the best on the track, but our situation is unique because we are brothers.”
Marquez had to adjust to a new bike, and he confessed it was difficult to break old habits.
“Each motorcycle has its ‘secrets’ when it comes to riding it,” he went on to say.
“A motorcycle can go very well but the rider has to ride it one way or another.”So, I’ve been riding a Honda for 11 years, and now I’ve switched to a Ducati, and I need to automate everything so I don’t fall into the vices of the old bike.”
