TODAY’S NEWS: “Jaelyne Matthews, Toms River North Offensive Tackle, Shows Interest in Tennessee Volunteers”

Jaelyne Matthews, an offensive tackle for Toms River North, has recently developed an interest in the Vols. It all started when Matthews tweeted to Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre after his commitment, asking whether MacIntyre needed an offensive lineman to accompany him to the University of Tennessee. A few weeks later, Matthews made his first unofficial visit to Knoxville, Tennessee. The coaching staff did an excellent job of making him feel welcome during his first visit, and he has already arranged an official visit for the summer. Matthews will return to Rocky Top on June 14; he has an official visit arranged with the Georgia Bulldogs on June 21 and plans to visit Rutgers and Syracuse. Matthews is the No. 98 recruit in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He measures 6-5 and weighs 290 pounds and is one of Tennessee’s top targets at offensive tackle, a position where the team currently lacks pledges in the 2025 class.
