Ferrari would stop at nothing to get Pierre Waché on board. Due to his pivotal role in the British team’s victories, the Frenchman Red Bull Technical Director is in great demand.
Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur has already dealt a serious blow to the Formula 1 transfer market by bringing Lewis Hamilton on board starting in 2025.
However, Ferrari and the driven Vasseur intend to go farther than that. The head of Ferrari’s team announced in the middle of 2023 that he would like to add one or more well-known engineers to the Scuderia. Waché was the name that was brought up a lot at the time, although the Italian press reported that he was still closing doors with Ferrari the previous year.
However, there are rumors that Waché may still be considering a move to the Scuderia. It is remarkable that he is once more being so consistently connected to Ferrari, even though there isn’t anything solid to report at this time. It demonstrates that Vasseur is not giving up, and Hamilton’s action has also given the team more assurance.
Vasseur and Ferrari demonstrate that they are searching for the greatest names in the sport with Hamilton’s transfer. Thus, it stands to reason that the Scuderia will also bring in the highly anticipated player on the technical front.
