🚨 “Double Blow for Man United: Two Key Stars Could Miss Brighton Clash as Amorim Issues Crucial Injury Update”

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has confirmed a potential double injury setback ahead of the Premier League showdown with Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.

The Red Devils, fresh off their spirited victory over Liverpool, are aiming to keep momentum alive — but may have to do so without Mason Mount and Harry Maguire, both of whom picked up knocks during the week.

“The squad is fine, but we’ve got some doubts,” Amorim told reporters at his pre-match press conference. “Harry Maguire and Mason Mount both had some issues during training. Nothing serious, but we’ll assess them before the game.”

Amorim added that Lisandro Martínez remains unavailable as he continues to recover from the cruciate ligament injury sustained against Crystal Palace earlier in the season.

“Licha isn’t ready yet,” the manager explained. “He’s training on the next pitch and feeling really good. The knee has responded well. I don’t want to give a specific return date, but he’s getting closer to joining full team sessions.”

Sources suggest Martínez could return to competitive action around early November, possibly in time for United’s trip to Tottenham on November 8. The Argentine defender is expected to battle Luke Shaw for a place in Amorim’s back three once fully fit.

Despite the concerns, Amorim remains wary of the challenge Brighton will pose at Old Trafford:

“They’re a very strong team,” he said. “Good in possession, excellent in transitions, and dangerous on set pieces. It’s always tough against them.”

United fans will be hoping Maguire and Mount recover in time, as Amorim looks to continue his promising start in charge and push the team closer to the Premier League’s top four.
